The nicest man in show business, Kevin Hart, attempts to break his writer’s block during lock down. We shot this with hazmat suits on during COVID, but enjoyed the day with Kevin and team all the same.

Shot in Jersey, we ran the creative remotely during COVID. It was great to work with the legend, Chris Rock, but a bummer to not be in person for the shoot.

We brought prominent members of the Transgender community together to talk about representation in all forms of media. Little did they know that their portraits were being painted behind a curtain, live, while the interview was taking place.
We were lucky enough to work with Rae Senarighi, a Trans painter out of Portland, on this project.
Our intention was to fill the canvas with as much color and expression as we could, to illustrate the full spectrum of the subject being.
This is easily one of my favorite projects that I have been a part of. Representation Matters.

Went to the Salt Flats in Utah to film this spot with the G.O.A.T. himself, Dave Chappelle. I have no other words than, it was an amazing experience with awesome creative.

This project was SHAMAZING, to borrow a phrase from Jonathan Van Ness of the Fab 5 (Netflix’s Queer Eye)
I concepted this music video to show off the Fab 5’s distinct personalities…and Antoni’s abs. I mean, do you buy a Jaguar and leave it in the garage? Betty Who recreated the opening title music, and joined the boys for the party.
Check out the Grease moment at the end.

Usually Seth Meyers is sitting behind a desk. But guess what?! He’s got legs just like you and me. So we made an actual Seth Meyers stand up action figure to celebrate his first stand up special on Netflix.
Music video for Atmosphere's, The Shit, shot at 2,700’ish frames per second. Fun fact, that’s my arm being tattooed. Another fun fact, I was in a minor motorcycle accident hours before doing this video. Final fun fact, it was a long day and whiskey helped.
Every year, for 9 years, I’ve created and curated the video content for the Hip-Hop festival, Soundset. I absolutely love the people there and the energy this festival creates.
I wasn’t able to make it last year as I am awaiting the arrival of my wife and I’s first baby. But who knows, maybe next year I’ll bring the baby along…

Netflix employees react to THAT scene from Gerald's Game.
Social Spot for Sarah Silverman's, Spec of Dust.
Co-Writer, Creative Director/ Director
Co-directed this music video with one of my best friends and fellow creative, Victor Rukavina. He handled the band performance scenes, while I worked with the choreographer to capture the young girl’s dance performance.
I love this song, and love this video.
Duck masks, mall cops, and aerial shots? What’s not to love about this heist themed music video.

I wanted to channel a kids school play for Joey Ryan & The Ink’s video for Two Birds. We worked with a school for performing arts to cast, and create this way fun music video.

Date night went wrong in this promo for Netflix’s The Babysitter. If you haven’t seen the film, check it out. It’s campy, scary, and bloody. Fun, right?

The real story behind the Paul Bunyon myth. This one was tough given our resources. The team was a amazing, and I’m very proud of how this video turned out.

MPLS based record label, Rhymesayers, celebrated 20 years of producing rap music, so we brought a bunch of cameras to the party and documented the once in a lifetime experience.

Bahamian Son is an independent feature film that I directed, based on true events, from the life of the writer, and my friend, Reggie Henderson. The story follows Kevin as he sets out to find his father, whom he hasn't seen in more than thirty years. During his journey, Kevin examines his own life and the family he has built for himself, as well as his childhood, growing up in the projects of North Minneapolis. After Kevin tracks down his father, he travels to the Bahamas to meet him. What happens in the Bahamas, opens Kevin's eyes to a world and a history he never knew existed, it's also another test of Kevin's beliefs regarding family, loyalty, and what it means to be a son, a father, and a man.
Yes, you read that right.
Space Uterus is a crop circle in the shape of a female reproductive system, that we created, to help promote Netflix’s Big Mouth. Creator Nick Kroll, and featured voice Jesse Klein, take a trip to rural Southern California to tour the Space Uterus.

What I love about this video, is the choice to limit the frame to waist down. The challenge being, how do you tell the story and communicate while greatly limiting your field of view? Less is more in the case of Bottomless Bottom.
I’m a big fan of the lighting design, done by my good buddy Jake Gardner, DP and Gaffer.

Hey Melby, do you want to go on a European tour with your favorite rappers and musicians? Yes, yes I do. This was the trip of a lifetime, but it was hard work. We did 20 days in Europe, 17 shows, and produced 16 mini-docs, as well as a feature length, out of the trip.
Almost everyday we would produce new a new episode. We’d wake up in a new city, shoot some interviews or rehearsals, trips to the cafe, etc. Then film the show, and after show shenanigans. If there was time, we’d head out for an hour or two of R&R, then it was back to the bus by bus call, to head on to the next city. We’d cut overnight, and upload in the morning.
